Primary Pleural Hydatid Cyst: Case Report and Literature Review

Introduction: Primary pleural hydatidosis is a rare disease. Presentation Case: A 26-year-old woman, non-smoker, was taken to emergency room for fever 1 day evolution, without other symptoms. No relevant medical history. Chest CT showed lobulated lesion in its anterior portion and smooth posterior part, adjacent 5th 6th right vertebral bodies, respecting cortices, 42 mm × 16 mm, did present reinforcement with contrast IV. biopsy scheduled, preoperative analyzes were normal. histology showed, due Echinococcus granulosus. Currently patient asymptomatic no recurrence.
